Chief Executive Officer

Pat has been with Camp Manito-wish since January 2018. Pat started with camp as the Operations Director and took over as Chief Executive Officer in the spring of 2019. “I believe in the power of camp and know that the impact a Manito-wish Experience provides is more relevant now than ever. Exploring the edge of your comfort zone allows you to build characteristics like humility, adaptability, resilience, awareness, empathy, resourcefulness, optimism, and responsibility. These characteristics help our campers and staff become the leaders that our world needs.”

Prior to work at Manito-wish, Pat worked with the City & County of Denver as a Senior Recreation Supervisor, the Senior Director of Membership and Community Development with the Coal Creek Family YMCA in Newcastle, Washington and as Executive Director and Program Director with YMCA Camp Shady Brook in Colorado Springs. Pat earned a Master of Science degree in recreation management from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in exercise management from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

What a great treat to see 12 advanced trips come in and learn about the trail experiences of each of them. They start at camp, go off on a well planned and executed long wilderness experience, and return to camp on the same day, 12 different groups. No one else does this!
