We are committed to enrich the character and leadership development of each person who has a Manito-wish experience. This experience has been developed in order to offer expanded options for high school aged individuals in addition to building upon our existing leadership development models.
With a progression model that takes leadership beyond the acres of Camp, this program is sure to help your participant stand out on college applications and first resumes!
Intro Leader Experience
FOR 10TH-11TH GRADE
A TWO WEEK EXPERIENCE WITH A 5-DAY TRAIL EXCURSION
A new experience for high school aged participants, the Introductory Leader Experience (ILE) offers an opportunity to continue building leadership and outdoor skills. The first half of the session will be spent enjoying the traditional camp activities, team-building initiatives, and a Trail experience. The second half of the session will include a service project and multiple opportunities to develop leadership skills, such as group facilitation in camp. Campers will be educated on how to transfer these skills in their local community.

Advanced Leader Experience
FOR 11TH-12TH GRADE
A TWO WEEK EXPERIENCE WITH A 5-DAY TRAIL EXCURSION
Building on each participants’ current leadership skills, the Advanced Leader Experience (ALE) equips individuals with essential tools to give them a competitive edge in college and career readiness. There will be opportunities to deepen facilitation skills, learn behavior management techniques, initiate activities for Summer Camp and Leadership programs, and help lead a program activity area. Participants will grow their communication skills while practicing and teaching Trail skills. Additionally, participants will be able to shadow Camp admin and help run Section Games for an evening.
