Looking for a good investment? We recommend child futures.

While the stock market can generate a fair amount of Return On Investment, we’d like to suggest an equally compelling measuring stick: The positive impact your donation will make in the lives of children who have a Manito-wish experience . Whether you volunteer your time and talents or make a monetary contribution , your gift to Camp Manito-wish YMCA helps promote our mission, provide financial assistance, maintain the highest quality staff and facilities, and ensure that Manito-wish will continue to challenge and inspire for generations to come.

We’re pleased to offer a variety of financial giving options, tailored to the preferences and circumstances of our donors. Whether you’d like to give an honorary gift or create an endowment, we’re thankful for your involvement and happy to assist with any questions or arrangements. How much should you give? Let your heart, your memories, your Manito-wish experience — and their smiles — serve as a guide.

Endowment Fund

The Camp Manito-wish Endowment Fund is applied to a variety of worthy Manito-wish causes, from camper scholarships and facility maintenance to program enhancements and donor-designated projects. A portion of the investment income produced by each gift is used to benefit ongoing programs, while the principal remains intact.

Endowment donations can be made in a variety of ways and amounts, with certain contribution levels qualifying the donor for the honor of Fires of Friendship Circle membership. Memorial and tribute naming opportunities are also available, providing a lasting and fitting recognition for someone special in the donor’s life.

The Board of Directors of the Camp Manito-wish YMCA has overall responsibility for managing these funds, including preservation, growth, and use. Investment of these gifts is delegated by the Board to the Investment Committee who contracts with professional fund managers to assist them.

If you are eligible for membership or interested in learning more, please contact the Development Office at 715-385-2312.

Fires of Friendship

When you have over a century of service under your belt, taking the long view comes naturally. The Fires of Friendship Circle helps provide long-range financial stability for Camp Manito-wish YMCA, through a strong and lasting endowment.

The Fires of Friendship Circle provides the resources to support the Manito-wish mission, while providing a way to recognize the people whose leadership, service, and devotion to Camp Manito-wish have created and sustained our heritage. These are the men and women who believe in Camp Manito-wish YMCA, share its ideals and traditions, and have made a commitment to ensure that this heritage is continued for future generations.

Membership in the Fires of Friendship Circle is open to anyone who remembers Manito-wish in their estate plans. That commitment can be made in a variety of ways:

An Outright Gift — cash or appreciated securities at a level of $10,000 or greater.

Gifts of Life Insurance — naming Camp Manito-wish YMCA as owner or beneficiary of a policy.

Testamentary Gifts — a will or bequest designating a specific amount, assets, or percentage of the donor’s estate.

Trusts — a form of a charitable trust can be established that will provide the donor with income and/or tax advantage.

Through these generous contributions, the Fires of Friendship Circle is a powerful and wonderful benefit to children, families, and adults — today, and for generations to come.

To discuss a Fires of Friendship giving option, please contact Jeff Pereles or Beth Rondello.

“It was one of the most influential experiences of my life, and I’d like other to benefit as I did.”
