Judy Tegtmeyer, with an abundance of enthusiasm
and a heartfelt welcome!
Judy’s lifelong connection to Camp and her extensive professional background position her uniquely to lead Manito-wish forward, as our next CEO. We are pleased to welcome Judy into this pivotal leadership role.
I would like to thank the dedicated and thoughtful board search committee, as well as our partners from the YMCA of the USA for their guidance and support. Their dedication to ensuring the selection of the right leader for our organization has been invaluable. Our national, multi-month search, included over 40 applicants, nine first-round interviews, and culminated in three final on-site interviews. While at Camp, our three finalists, met with the entire full-time team, toured camp, and experienced the glory of Boulder Junction in the fall. The search committee was unanimous in their decision, and received full support from the executive committee.
On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Jeff Pereles, our interim CEO, who has demonstrated remarkable leadership in guiding the Manito-wish staff and community through this pivotal time. His journey isn’t over just yet! Judy will take the reins in early February, 2024 and Jeff will return to his role as Development Director.
Camp Manito-wish YMCA stands as a testament to an incredibly rich history and a stellar reputation, spanning over 105 years of programming. As we embark on this new chapter under Judy’s leadership, we remain dedicated to our mission of inspiring personal growth, fostering leadership, and building a sense of community in line with our mission, vision, and commitment statements.
